Simcard Activation Guide
Optus Simcard (Voice, SMS, Data)
when you have arrived and cleared Customs in Australia,
go to optus.com.au/activate, follow the prompts
enter SIM CARD NUMBER found on the SIM (printed near the chip)
enter personal details (take note of first & last name sequence in passport)
Choose a Mobile number 04xxxxxxxx.
Select a plan: EPIC DATA (don’t choose any other plan for max data allowance)
Select Credit card at step 5, for verification. Enter credit card details (under your own name)
Card will be activated successfully once identity verification is completed after Step 6.

Optus Simcard ( Prepaid Data Only)
when you have arrived and cleared Customs in Australia,
go to optus.com.au/activate, follow the prompts
enter SIM CARD NUMBER found on the SIM (printed near the chip), choose “get a new number”
Plan “Optus Prepaid Data” with 4GB will be pre-selected
Choose passport for foreigners, enter personal details in accordance to your passport/visa details (take note of first & last name sequence)
Card will be activated successfully once identity verification is completed.

Telstra Simcard
when you have arrived and CLEARED Customs in Australia,
go to telstra.com.au/activate, follow the prompts
enter the SIM CARD NUMBER found on the SIM (printed near the chip)
enter passport and entry visa (take note of first & last name sequence) - only try up to 3 times before card is locked
PLAN to choose: Prepaid Mobile plan (data + voice + sms)
Mobile number will be assigned to your card as part of the activation process with format of 04xxxxxxxx.

Lebara Simcard
when you have arrived and cleared Customs in Australia,
go to lebara.com.au/activate, follow the prompts
enter SIM CARD number and other details as requested
credit card info will be required for verification purpose
PLAN to choose: according to the value available, choose highest data allowance plan
